1. Connect your Shopify store to Kanal

2. Add the WhatsApp widget on Shopify

3. Manage optin on Shopify

Go on settings on Shopify
Then, click on Checkout
Scroll down and tick “SMS” in the Marketing section
Customize the label to include WhatsApp. You can use the phrase “Send me new offers on WhatsApp”.
A new checkbox will appear in your checkout. You can now collect WhatsApp optins on your Shopify site.

4. Send a campaign to customers already on Shopify

Manage your customer segments on Shopify and trigger a WhatsApp campaign from one of these segments

  1. Go to Campaigns

  2. Choose the name of your campaign

  3. Select your Template (previously created)

  4. Select the Shopify segment you wish to send the campaign to

  5. Map the available columns to your Template

  6. Send your campaign

5. Set up automations (abandoned cart, order confirmation...)

Activate automated WhatsApp scenarios following an action on Shopify

  1. Create a new Automation

  2. Choose the trigger (abandoned cart, order confirmation)

  3. Press “+” button

  4. Add a Template (previously created)

  5. Save and activate your automation
